Today I felt like doing something fanart-homage-thingy like somehow 
Gorillaz - a band that changed my view on music in general when they released their first single "Clint Eastwood" in 2001.
When I still was a teenager I had a fairly one sided way of looking at things - I wrote off many things before I even dealt with them, or I just decided to not like them out of principle.
It's quite funny how you can change over the years
In any case around this time the foundation was built for me to not only set my limits to Indie Rock or Skater Punk or 60s music anymore but to open up for other music styles like Dance oder R'n'B or else. (meanwhile I listen to everything I like, no matter what genre or artist)
But also in an artistic way this band concept really fascinated me and the style of Jamie Hewlett is absolutely great!
You'll still find some style influences in my artworks, but the own style is something you build up from different things that inspire you, I guess
When I heard that there would be a new Gorillaz album coming out this year, I couldn't help but draw a little tribute fanart for this wonderful band
